HISTORY OF THE COMPANY :
It all began with a long outstanding vision of Mr. Dara E. Rupa who
founded M/s. INDUSTRIAL MARINE & OILFIELD SERVICES (IMOS) in January, 1980, Now
as M/s. INDUSTRIAL MARINE & OILFIELD SERVICES (INDIA) PVT. LTD. (IMOS) in March,
2000.
He was working with M/s. ERICSON & RICHARDSON SURVEYORS since 1970 in the
field of Shipping and had served further with VETCO (Iran & Singapore) where he
had acquired rich experience in Non-Destructive Testing in Industry, Shipping,
Marine & Oilfield services.
During his tenure with VETCO (Iran) Mr. Rupa
travelled world-wide. Being trained in Germany in Oilfield Inspection and in
Ultrasonic. Qualified C.S.W.I.P. in Ultrasonic from Cambridge (England), he was
the only person to be Qualified C.S.W.I.P. in India in Ultrasonic to carry out
Inspection on Nuclear and Thermal Power Stations, Ships, Pressure Vessels, Oil
Rigs, Oil Platforms, Petrochemical Complex, Fertiliser & others.
He further advanced himself in ULTRASONIC
IMAGING from SCIENCE APPLICATION INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION, U.S.A., FORCE
INSTITUTES COPENHAGEN (DENMARK) , R/D TECH from CANADA and TWI /
PI CAMBRIDGE ENGLAND.
IMOS grew under the leadership of Mr. Dara E. Rupa and got qualified to
carry out the most prestigious job on the First TATA Unit V at Trombay,
Chembur-Bombay 500 Mega Watt power station in India and obtained contracts with
Tata Electric, Mazgaon Docks, Ships, Submarine Project, Oilfield Inspection,
ONGC, Fertiliser Tender Contracts, Shutdowns and various Outages.
In January
2002 he was awarded a Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) Degree for his outstanding
Research of 12 years in the field of Biorhythm. A Software which is unique and
the only one in the world to be of maximum utility to mankind.
Till Date
and continuing INDUSTRIAL MARINE & OILFIELD SERVICES (INDIA) PVT. LTD. (IMOS) has achieved
prestigious contracts in Shipping, Oil Rig, Oil platforms, Cross Country
Pipelines, Tank Inspection, Fertilizer and Petrochemical Industries using all
the advanced Automated Non Destructive Testing equipments.
